KURT HOFER
Kurt Hofer is a self-taught artist known for his exquisite clay sculptures, marked by fluid shapes, organic texture, and personal traces. Although Kurt is an emerging artist at the beginning of his career, his ceramic creations bear an undeniable harmony. Fashion brand Buck Mason recognized Kurt’s talent when they acquired his pieces to add inspiration to the interior design of their stores in Venice Beach.
In Kurt’s new body of work for CASA CDM, his clay orbs, or seed jars, are finished with a striking coral glaze that looks ancient and worn over time, while his black and white vessels show markings born from spontaneous gestures in process.
