On Friday, August 30th, Kazmik Grace—a pop-up admired for its curated vintage and hand-dyed clothing—will set up at CASA CDM during gallery hours, from 11AM to 5PM, for an all-day event. Please join us on Thursday, August 1 at 5pm for a unique opportunity to hear artist Kayla Janes speak about her artistic journey and process while her work is on display at CASA CDM. Kayla Janes received both her BFA and MFA from Laguna College of Art and Design. Growing up on the California Coast has fostered her deep love for the natural environment. In her paintings, she explores how one’s exterior surroundings can mirror internal states. She believes that natural phenomena offer insights into various stages of one’s own existence. The conversation will be followed by audience Q&A.
